Founder and Lead Advisor at The Find.
I've spent the better part of a decade traveling through Europe, Asia, and the Americas in search of the places that don't make it onto the lists.
The idea for The Find was born on a rainy afternoon during a trip to Paris. I was early in my travels then — the itinerary was a greatest hits list pulled from every major travel site, every day stacked with the places I'd been told not to miss, every landmark dutifully scheduled. I hated it.
Then one day it rained, my husband wasn't feeling well, and the itinerary fell apart. So I walked. No plan, no destination, just a neighborhood and an umbrella. I found a croissant shop I never would have sought out, stood under an awning listening to a musician play to no one in particular, and sat at a café where nobody spoke English and it didn't matter. By every measure it was the least planned day of the trip — and it was the one I've never stopped thinking about.
That afternoon changed the way I travel. The Find is my attempt to bottle that feeling — to do the hard work of discovery in advance so that when you arrive, everything feels effortless, unhurried, and quietly extraordinary. I've spent years building the relationships, doing the research, and taking the trips so you don't have to start from scratch. Consider it found.
