As you all know, we are passionate about hearing the story behind the brands we stock, especially when they have as long a history as Stackers.

A family business since 1922, their mission is to make sure everything has a place and you're not left rummaging around looking for that really important little something because it'll always be where it's meant to be. Their storage solutions are flexible as well as being beautifully designed, they even have a playful range for kids (that's stylish enough for adults to love too!).

We chatted with Chloe Pestell, the fourth generation of her family to be working in the business, about the evolution of their brand and the customer community Stackers has built.

How would you describe your brand in one sentence?

Stackers is all about making sure you are beautifully organised both at home and on the go.

How did your brand come about?

Our company was actually founded in 1922 by my great grandfather, back then it was focused more on clocks. Through the years we added homewares, jewellery boxes and around 10 years ago Stackers, the brand, was born.

The original core product was the Stacking jewellery box. It was my father who had been working on jewellery boxes for some big name brands, realising that the traditional jewellery box is very limiting, so he and our amazing design team came up with the ‘create your own jewellery box concept’. Choosing layers that best suit your collection, then stacking these up. From there we realised there were lots of other areas that we could improve, as generally storage has been a little boring. Why can’t it be functional but also beautifully designed?

Over the years our product categories have grown including the Little Stackers collection stocked here at THE FIND. Little Stackers is so fun to work on you can always tell when new samples arrive as there is a wave of ‘awww’ through the office as they all see them for the first time!

What is the biggest challenge you have faced as a brand?

Operating within the retail space in general is a big challenge. Especially in the last 10 years as there has been so much change with big companies struggling and online becoming part of our everyday life. We also have to fight against others trying to copy our product, which is heart-breaking as we and our designers work so hard to create and design unique products.

We have learnt over almost the last 100 years that you can never stand still. You always need to be looking for the next step ahead and keep changing and evolving to survive and grow.

What are you most proud of as a brand?

I am proud of the community that we have grown, our customers are so lovely! We have a Facebook group where they all share photos and ideas. We ask them about product development ideas, and some are also brand ambassadors.

What sets you apart from other brands in your category?

Being a family run business we take great care and pride in all aspects of the brand; from creating product that is going to better your life, ensuring we think of every last detail (for example adding a built in cable tidy to the backpacks), to ensuring we go above and beyond for our customers. They are not just an order number we really care about them and their experience.

What is your best beauty hack?
I actually keep all my makeup in our makeup caddy. I feel like when I can see everything at once I am much better at avoiding doubling up on products. It’s easy and quick to get ready in the morning and keeps foundation and powder from getting smashed or leaking over all my other products.

What is your LITTLE FIND?

My favourite product you stock of ours is the Triceratops Laundry Basket, we call him Troy at the office, and he is just so cute! I also have Cirrus No.2 Steamer from Steamery!

Now, let’s have a little fun and FIND out about you...
