This week we have the pleasure of talking to Baukjen de Swaan Arons, the founder of the fantastic clothing line Baukjen.

BAUKJEN'S 3 TIPS & TRICKS TO PERFECT YOUR CAPSULE WARDROBE
- With such busy lives, it’s important to curate a capsule wardrobe with pieces that flatter and compliment your body shape and lifestyle. You need a variety of easy and effortless go-to styles that allow you to just throw-on-and-go. With that in mind, I would suggest knowing what cuts and styles work for you, whether that be waist skimming, ankle length or sleeves that cover the top of your arms. Feeling confident is paramount. If you feel uneasy in anything you’re wearing, don’t wear it! Use clothes to build your confidence and not to question it.
- For me, I always try and invest in quality clothing. Quality over quantity is my motto. Whether that be a meticulously crafted blazer, beautifully cut trousers or easy everyday cotton tops – these pieces will stand the test of time and will always be relevant season after season.
- Don’t be shy to try new things. I’m guilty of this too, habits are hard to break. If you’re partial to black or navy, try another colour. If you find yourself living in your favourite pair of denim jeans (I’m guilty of this too), why not try cargo pant or leather trousers. If you’ve got the same knits on rotation, try tops instead with a blazer layered over. Always try and experiment with new looks, it keeps style fun and interesting.

I love catching up on films during flights so the night before I’ll download films from Netflix, charge my iPad overnight and make sure I have a fully charged extra power source with me. Bliss to have some downtime.
